Channeling shades of Mac DeMarco, King Krule, and Cindy Lee, Ernesto Lune delivers DAWN DEMONSTRATIONS - a gritty lo‑fi indie EP packed with crunchy guitars, tape‑warped textures, and diary‑like reflections pulled straight from late‑night overthinking.
BARCELONA, SPAIN (November 27, 2025) – Canadian artist Ernesto Lune returns with DAWN DEMONSTRATIONS, a raw, emotionally charged new EP that channels post-breakup melancholy into fuzzy, indie-pop reflections on love, purpose, and uncertainty. Written and recorded entirely in his Barcelona apartment, the project offers four tracks of lo-fi introspection with a wounded heart and wandering mind.

Following his 2021 debut EP some good air (in search of,), Lune - aka Tristan Plumb - continues to carve out a singular space in the indie landscape, where bedroom pop meets existential poetry. On DAWN DEMONSTRATIONS, he pulls listeners into a moment of personal reckoning, capturing the blur of heartbreak and the longing for clarity. The EP was written in just one month, serving as what Lune calls “a way of debriefing myself” after the end of a short-lived relationship.
"It's just one big question because nothing makes sense sometimes....I was thinking about love and freedom and who is really in control. How does one really find the right circumstances, the right people, the right path, the right time?"

Sonically, DAWN DEMONSTRATIONS sits somewhere between Mac DeMarco’s slacker sensibility and King Krule’s moodier tendencies, with a dash of Cindy Lee’s distorted intimacy. Produced by Ernesto Lune and mastered by Max Igra [Museum Guard], the EP is equal parts crunchy and confessional - lo-fi without losing emotional depth. Unpolished but unmistakably intentional. The songs tumble out like diary entries set to tape hiss and dreamy guitars. Tracks like “Out of Sight” and “Cracked Time” dive into disillusionment and inner unrest, while “Not For Now” and “Some Way Out” offer glimpses of acceptance and resolve.
Paired with self-made lyric visualizers for each track, DAWN DEMONSTRATIONS plays like a fully realized emotional document - scrappy, stirring, and steeped in late-night solitude. “It’s rough around the edges, but it’s got a heart,” Lune says with a wry smile. “It’s like someone who's rough around the edges, but has a good heart.” With crunchy guitar loops, tape-warped textures, and diary-like lyrics, the EP is a bedroom pop soundtrack for those quiet, spiraling hours - gritty, unpolished, and deeply human. DAWN DEMONSTRATIONS positions Ernesto Lune as a compelling new voice in lo-fi indie, offering a raw and resonant listen for fans of introspective alt-pop with soul.
