An acoustic-pop ballad about finding oneself amidst betrayal.
Shreveport, LA (May 3, 2024) - On the rise Pop artist Mae Graf announces the release of her second single, “I Like Me Better This Way”. A vulnerable acoustic indie ballad, the track sees Graf grappling with rejection and betrayal, but coming out the other side a stronger person for it.
Known for drawing upon her own experiences to create her music, Graf presents an intimately raw portrayal of what it's like to lose friends and be betrayed by those who you care about most. Written after the loss of a friend, “I Like Me Better This Way” shares Graf's perspective of not knowing what she did wrong, but being ghosted anyways.
I wrote this in a very dark place just trying to recover from what had just happened. I want this song to touch people and normalize the other side of being ghosted by people you thought cared about you.
