Woven Hollow, a duo of artistic and passionate collaborators, have unveiled their latest single "Ten Feet Under," a project that originated in the early stages of their relationship.
GLENWOOD SPRINGS, CO (October 29, 2025) - The folk duo Woven Hollow from Colorado is back with their latest single “Ten Feet Under,” which is both moving and captivating. This song reflects on the passage of time, mortality, and being stuck in an emotional state of uncertainty. With its rich acoustic sounds, deep lyrics, and atmospheric production, it creates a cinematic experience for the listeners.
Founded on Anna Murphy's initial songwriting and later perfected with Van Wampler's musical vision, “Ten Feet Under” originated during the early stages of their romantic and artistic collaboration. The song explores those moments where you're reflecting on life, but trapped in limbo between wondering if you're feeling regret or contentedness.... finding that, ultimately, we all have the same end. The result is an intricate exploration of the fleeting nature of existence, marked by regret, reflection, and acceptance.
It felt like I was writing two different songs, until I showed Van what I was working on. He got excited and helped me bring it to life. I was thinking it might ultimately end up in the trash can, but he and I worked together to make it into something really special and unique.
- Anna Murphy on the creation of "Ten Feet Under"
Drawing influence from artists like Neko Case, Phoebe Bridgers, Aimee Mann, and the darker corners of Pink Floyd, “Ten Feet Under” lands in a space where folk pop meets ambient melancholy. Listeners will be pulled in by haunting fiddle lines from Camille Backman, warm trumpet flourishes by Kelly Thompson, and the song’s carefully layered arrangements, engineered and produced by Van Wampler at CinemaRaven Studios.
Mixed by Jason Richmond and mastered by Idania Valencia at Sterling Sound, “Ten Feet Under” delivers a sonically rich experience that complements its lyrical depth. The song's themes touch on mental health, feminism, and philosophical reflection, inviting listeners to sit with the discomfort, and beauty of life’s impermanence.

Van Wampler and Anna Murphy of Woven Hollow
About Woven Hollow:
The sound of music and the beauty of the Rocky Mountains led the winding paths of Anna Murphy and Van Wampler to cross in 2017. A few recording sessions together quickly blossomed into an ongoing collaboration which quickly solidified itself as Woven Hollow. After recording a few songs and playing a short tour in 2019, the duet set out to record its first full-length album during the Covid lock down of 2020. Years of work on the album would see a number of incredible musicians adding their talent to Woven Hollow's compositions, and what started as a simple folk record grew into an adventurous project that can hardly be described by a single genre.
