Through every stylistic shift, there is a connective thread; a storyteller's voice rooted in lived experience, authenticity, and heart.
WATERFORD, WI (November 6, 2025) - Singer-songwriter Kenny Hotopp is proud to announce the release of his evocative new EP, Early Times. A rich blend of Bluegrass, R&B, and Blues, Early Times offers a deeply personal yet universally relatable soundtrack to the human experience.
Written from a place of heartfelt reflection and seasoned perspective, Early Times is a 5-track journey through memory, love, and the quiet moments that shape a life. From soul-soothing ballads to playful rhythms, the EP touches on themes of marriage, fatherhood, and the endurance of love. All with Hotopp’s signature warmth and lyrical honesty.
These are stories I’ve lived or witnessed, but I leave space in the lyrics for you to find your own meaning, your own moments. Some are fun, a few are serious. But every song came from a real place and I think people will feel that”

Musically, Early Times draws from a wide palette. Collaborating once again alongside Philville Records studio out of Eau Claire, WI, the EP touches on bluegrass, R&B, and even hints of psychedelic country, all the while remaining grounded in folk and Americana roots. Those who like Jason Isbell, Ray LaMontagne, or Gregory Alan Isakov will find something to love in Hotopp’s melodic storytelling and soulful delivery.
From the uplifting camaraderie of “We'll Go On” to the emotional resilience in “Pull Me Through,” Kenny Hotopp captures life’s quiet truths. “Forever This Time” questions love’s durability, while the title track, “Early Times,” looks back on Midwestern roots with tender detail. The EP closes with “Lost Track of Time,” a warm, romantic escape into the beauty of being fully present. Each song stands alone, yet together they form a deeply human narrative.
