Produced and mixed by Don Dixon (R.E.M., The Smithereens), the track was recorded in the legendary Mitch Easter’s studio in Winston-Salem, with additional vocals captured at Davis’s home studio in Prince George, VA, and Elephant Ear Studio in Richmond, VA. A striking follow-up to his 2020 release, Make It Count, Davis reaffirms his place as one of Virginia’s most compelling voices, offering a song that is both deeply personal and universally relatable.
