    New York, NY (March 22, 2023) - Stephanie Babirak, acclaimed folk-pop artist and classical harpist, drops the latest release of her latest single, “Waves and Whispers,” which debuts on Friday, March 22, 2024.

    “Waves and Whispers” captures the essence of beachy folk-pop with its haunting melodies and heartfelt lyrics. Combining Babirak's signature harp melodies with evocative vocals, the song explores themes of love, loss, and the pain of separation. Written during a period of personal introspection, the song reflects Babirak's own experience of going no contact with a loved one, expressing the agony of not being able to communicate with someone deeply missed.

    This song started off as just a little melody on the harp. I hadn't written a song for over a decade (I was pursuing a career as a classical harpist) and this was the melody that brought me back to songwriting...and I've written many songs since!"

    Stephanie Babirak is a renowned harpist based in New York City. Lauded as “seraphic” and “a lovely harpist” by the Huffington Post, she is best known for her contemporary approach to the harp. She has performed with pop acts like Adele, Phoebe Bridgers, and Sandra Day, and her performances have been featured in the 2018 Super Bowl commercial for Hyundai Genesis and on NBC’s “Mr. Robot.” She has toured nationally and internationally, playing venues ranging in size and prestige from debuting works at Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center, the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, to a sound bath in a Brooklyn salt cave. Her mission is to create music that makes the harp relevant and accessible to all audiences.
