Indie-Folk Artist Britt Devens Releases Dreamy Americana Album "Here I Go Again"

Denver, CO (August 25, 2023) - Indie-Folk singer-songwriter Britt Devens officially releases her 10-track LP, “Here I Go Again” on Friday, August 25th. Each track on the album explores a new theme, ranging from mental health and the love of a woman, to sobriety and times of hardship.

“Here I Go Again” encompasses a decade of emotion channeled through musical expression, producing an honest and raw work of art for listeners to resonate with. The dreamy, sometimes melancholy nature of the tracks on this release are juxtaposed with occasional Alt-Rock elements to ground the record in harmony. Many of the lyrical elements on this album were crafted throughout various parts of the western US and inspired by the diverse yet magical landscapes that Devens has experienced.

From deserts and oceans, to redwoods and mountains, this album holds a decade of music and memories. “Here I Go Again” holds stories of good and healthy times, bad and toxic times, and all of the life that happens in-between.”

“Here I Go Again” is a reminder that we can do anything we set our minds to. Devens hopes to connect with listeners through this album, helping them remember to be kind to themselves while experiencing any change or battle in life. Devens expresses her personal battles and journeys through songwriting with each release and point in time. “Here I Go Again” explores Devens' life through vulnerable yet relatable lyrics for listeners to relate to and resonate with. Devens' 2021 EP “Back to Me” primarily focused on prioritizing mental health at a different stage in her life.

The album is full circle. I'm back home in Colorado and after years of not being able to fully commit to my art due to choices that no longer align with my values and life happening as it does, "here I am, here I stand, here I go again" (lyrics of the title track) is a metaphor of so many things in life. I'm sure many people can relate...it's about gettin' after your dreams or whatever it is you're working towards, standing up and trying again. Just keep going and trust the process!”

Devens worked to produce this record alongside co-producer Ben Pisano (of Corsicana). Devens also would like to thank the extremely talented musicians who contributed to the album's creation: Emily Winter (violin), Teodor Vanovski (percussion), Max Hass (bass), William Falkner (electric guitar), and Ben Waligoske (pedal steel).
