Latin Funk Single “Be Cool” By The Labra Brothers Is All About Staying Calm And Collected In The Face of Challenge

Youngstown, OH (February 25, 2023) - The Labra Brothers inspire their listeners to stay poised and persevere through trying times in new single “Be Cool.” The Latin American band set out to spread positivity and encouragement with this danceable bilingual song. The message behind “Be Cool” is that no matter where you are in life, you should always be kind to one another. Everyone is facing their own highs and lows and you never know what someone is really going through behind their facade. When sitting down to write the Latin Funk single, the band wanted to emphasize the importance of being sympathetic, polite, and respectful to the people you encounter throughout the day.

“Be Cool” is a Latin funk song that combines elements from The Labra Brothers’ vast musical taste. The sonic landscape of the song was inspired by some of the band’s favorite artists including Los Lobos and Carlos Santana. A combination of Latin, funk, blues, rock, and soul, “Be Cool” has the sibling vocal harmonies, rhythmic guitars, enticing earworms, groovy percussion, and funky bass lines that define the distinct sound of The Labra Brothers.

The Labra Brothers are a Latin Funk sibling band from rustbelt northeast Ohio. Influenced by the diverse music taste of their parents, the brothers developed a distinguished sound which combines blues, funk, and latin. After falling in love with playing their own renditions of their favorite music, the band decided to put their talents to work within their original creations. Consisting of Adrian Labra on vocals and guitar, Cristian Labra on vocals and bass, David Labra on vocals, guitar, and sax, Antonio Labra on percussion, Danny Svenson on keys, and Matt Hayes on drums, the band quickly discovered their ability to effortlessly interlock in an instrumental groove with eachother. The Labra Brothers continue to release music and have established themselves regionally as a dynamic and diverse powerhouse of musical presentation. With three-part sibling vocal harmonies at the forefront, their versatility has become more evident with each new original studio recording they release. The Brothers had an eventful 2022, during which they played a direct support role for Average White Band, and were voted "Best Latin Artist" by the Cleveland Music Awards.
